The Pontoon is owned and maintained by the Lochranza and Catacol Sea Society (LCCS). We are a not for profit Community Interest Company which relies entirely on donations. LCSS also collects donations on behalf of North Ayrshire Council for the blue public moorings provided in the loch. After reading notice board on the pontoon, you will find a donation box at the top of the access walkway.
A mooring is now available for yachts up to 80 ton, but the Spirit of Fairbridge and Ocean Youth Trust Yachts have priority. If used please put a donation in the honesty box on the pontoon.
LANDING STAGE USE:- Dinghy/tender £2.00 per day, Larger vessels £5.00 per day (NO OVERNIGHT BERTHING)
BLUE PUBLIC MOORING BUOY USE:- Free for short day time visit. For overnight berthing please make a donation towards upkeep in the donations box, by the gate, on the pontoon. Suggested amount £12.00 to include pontoon use. We do take cheques payable to Lochranza and Catacol Sea Society.cic
Yachts may be brought alongside to land and embark crew members and take on stores etc. Tenders up to 3 metres may be moored alongside and left for longer periods. The pontoon is an unlit facility and during hours of darkness we would suggest you carry a torch on embarkation.

An "assist hoist" is available for the disabled. Should you wish to use it then please phone any one of the following numbers and we will be delighted to help.
The Lochranza & Catacol Sea Society will be proud to welcome you to the beautiful village of Lochranza.
We hope you will stay long enough to take in the breath-taking views, explore the 13th Century castle, see the wild deer, spot the eagles and other birds of prey, watch seals basking on the rocks, watch out for the elusive and shy otters, perhaps sail close to porpoises and dolphin, or identify the many sea birds. If none of this takes your fancy, then there is always the rest of Arran to enjoy!
You will find something for everyone. Have a wonderful time.
There are 12 blue visitors buoys available for short term occupancy. If these are all taken when you arrive please anchor in the area shown on the map, and ensure that a good holding is achieved as the sea bed is very loose and covered in kelp.
Please do not use private moorings, unless in an emergency.
A mooring is now available to use at catacol, 20 ton weight limit. Mooring is offered by the Catacol Bay Hotel.
