There are two comfortable well equipped B & B bedrooms.

The rooms are both en suite, each with a double and a single bed, tea making facilities and Sky/CD/DVD.

We offer full or continental style breakfast and can do packed lunches and evening meals when required.

We source our food from island produce when possible and have fresh eggs from our own chickens (usually). The dining room is available for guest use throughout the day.

Mill Cottage is sign posted and is sited just off the main coastal road with the turning next to Pirnmill Post Office. We have parking for visitors vehicles to the front of the property.

Village amenities include the Post Office and store. We also have an excellent un-licensed restaurant "The Lighthouse". As this is a popular venue we advise booking 01770 850240.

Many of the smaller business's on the island do not accept credit cards so you will need to bring a cheque book. There are cash machines in Brodick.

Pirnmill is an attractive tranquill village with a good beach to the south and with its own slipway and is a good base or place to stop on an Arran break. The views to the west across Kilbrannan sound over to Kintyre can give some stunning sunsets.

Several popular walks start and finish in Pirnmill. One of the best "serious" island walks, along to Thundergay and up to Beinn Bhreac, has a circular route starting in Pirnmill.
Mill Cottage is sited next to Mill House, formerly know as Clark's Mill. Water from the stream was used to power the Mill which made "pirns", a type of bobbin, from local birch for the cotton thread Industry in Paisley. Remnants of the mill dam, waterfall and pipework can be seen just north of the property.

There is some very special wild life in the area. A wide variety of sea birds, red deer, owls, seals, otters, porpoise, even the occasional Basking Shark . Red Squirrels are regular visitors to our feeders.
